Description

Hearty Beef-Stuffed Pasta Shells are a comforting and cheesy dish filled with savory ground beef, marinara sauce, and gooey cheese—ideal for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce (divided)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and lay them out in a single layer.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix cooked beef with ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella until creamy.
  4. Stuff each shell with 1-2 tablespoons of the meat mixture, placing them seam-side up in a baking dish coated with half of the marinara sauce.
  5. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
