Description

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, melted butter, one egg, and vanilla extract until smooth. Pour half into the prepared dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and one egg until creamy. Spread this mixture over the red velvet batter.
  4. Pour the remaining red velvet batter on top and swirl lightly with a knife.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars.
