Rice Paper Crab Rangoons are a delightful twist on a classic appetizer, combining the crispy texture of rice paper with a rich filling of sweet crab meat and creamy cheese.   • 8 large rice paper wrappers
  • 1 cup fresh or canned crab meat (drained)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oil in a frying pan over medium heat or preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Soften each rice paper wrapper by dipping it in warm water for about 10 seconds.
  3. Place the softened wrapper flat and add a spoonful of crab mixture (crab meat, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder) near the center.
  4. Fold over one edge tightly, tuck in both sides, and roll up like a burrito.
  5. Fry each rangoon for 3-4 minutes until golden brown or bake for 15-20 minutes after spraying with cooking oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
