  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, roughly chopped
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook spaghetti until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes until they soften and burst.
  4. Combine drained pasta with the tomato mixture, adding reserved pasta water as needed for sauce consistency.
