- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups icing sugar (for frosting)
- Food coloring gel (as desired)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients while mixing until fully combined.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft. Cool on sheets before transferring to wire racks.
- For frosting, mix icing sugar with water or milk to a spreadable consistency; color as desired and decorate cooled cookies.
