  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  5. Reserve one cup of batter; add cocoa powder to create the chocolate mixture.
  6. Layer half the pumpkin batter in the pan followed by half the chocolate batter. Swirl gently with a knife and repeat with remaining batters.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
