- 1 tsp espresso powder
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese (creamy and fresh)
- 1 tbsp coffee liqueur (optional)

Instructions

- In a heatproof bowl, melt the bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter together until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk granulated sugar with eggs until fluffy.
- Gently fold in flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt until combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- While baking, mix mascarpone cheese with coffee liqueur until smooth.
- After the first bake, spread the mascarpone mixture over the brownie layer, then top with remaining batter.
- Bake for another 15-20 minutes until set but fudgy. Cool completely before dusting with cocoa powder and slicing.
