Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz linguine
- 1 lb shrimp (deveined and peeled)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add more butter if needed, then sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Return shrimp to the skillet along with cooked pasta. Toss until well combined, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
