  • 8 oz linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp (deveined and peeled)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more butter if needed, then sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet along with cooked pasta. Toss until well combined, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
