Description

Apple, Bacon and Caramelized Onion Pizza is a deliciously unique twist on classic pizza that combines sweet and savory flavors.   • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 cups thinly sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 6 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups fresh mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside if using.
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions over low heat and cook until golden brown (about 10-15 minutes).
  4. Roll out pizza dough to desired shape on a floured surface.
  5. Transfer dough to a baking sheet or pizza peel. Spread half of the mozzarella on top.
  6. Layer with apple slices, chopped bacon, caramelized onions, and remaining mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
