- 1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, combine warm milk with melted butter. Add eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
- Gradually combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the filling by mixing apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl.
- Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, sprinkle the apple mixture evenly on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and slice it lengthwise to create two halves. Twist the halves together and place them into a greased loaf pan.
- Let it rise again for about 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
