  • 8 oz fresh button or cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Sauté diced onions until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic for another minute.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned (approximately 7 minutes).
  4. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until moisture is released (about 5 minutes). Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and beef broth; simmer for another 10 minutes until thickened.
  5. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry into the baking dish, pour in the beef mixture, then cover with the second sheet. Cut slits in the top layer.
  6. Bake for about 35 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
