Description

Cheesy Ground Beef Roll is a scrumptious comfort food that combines savory ground beef with gooey cheese, all enveloped in flaky puff pastry. Perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners, this delightful dish fills the air with an irresistible aroma that beckons everyone to the table. Easy to prepare and versatile enough for any occasion, each bite promises satisfaction and warmth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 sheets puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in shredded cheeses until melted. Remove from heat.
  5. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into rectangles large enough to hold the beef mixture.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture onto each rectangle, fold over like a burrito, and brush with egg wash.
  7. Place on the baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
