Ingredients

  • 32 oz frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 5-7 minutes. Add diced onions halfway through cooking until softened.
  3. Drain excess grease if desired, then stir in the cream of mushroom soup and garlic powder until combined.
  4. Layer half of the tater tots in the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread the beef mixture evenly on top and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Top with the remaining tater tots.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on top. Serve hot.
