  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups whole milk mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions until translucent. Add ground beef (or turkey) and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti with the meat mixture and marinara sauce. Mix well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk eggs with mozzarella cheese and half of the Parmesan; season with salt and pepper. Gently fold this mixture into the spaghetti.
  6. Transfer everything into a greased baking dish, top with remaining Parmesan cheese, and bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
