- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 package (14 oz) store-bought pie crusts
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
- 1 egg mixed with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut circles for muffin tin cups.
- In a bowl, mix apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well-coated.
- Place a dough circle in each muffin tin cup and fill generously with the apple mixture. Top with butter pieces.
- Cover each filled cup with another dough circle and seal edges tightly.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
