Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, and salt. Add half of the olive oil and warm water while stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  2. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough gently, transfer to a greased baking sheet, and shape it into your desired form while creating dimples on the surface.
  5. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt and Parmesan cheese. Optionally add fresh herbs.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
