Description

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan until just warm; sprinkle yeast over it and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Create a well in the center; add yeast mixture, pumpkin puree, softened butter, and eggs. Stir until sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in an oiled bowl and cover with a towel; let rise until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out dough to a rectangle; spread softened butter on top and sprinkle with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon. Roll tightly and cut into one-inch pieces.
  5. Place rolls in a greased baking dish; let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk.
