Instructions

  3. In another bowl, mix vegetable oil and granulated sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in buttermilk, vanilla extract, and food coloring.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cakes cool before frosting with a mixture of cream cheese and butter blended until fluffy; then add powdered sugar.
