Ingredients

  • 3 lbs pork shoulder
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 8 slider buns
  • ½ cup dill pickles, sliced
  • 6 oz Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and season generously with salt and pepper. Sear in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides.
  2. Place sliced onions and minced garlic in the slow cooker. Set the seared pork on top and sprinkle with cumin, oregano, and paprika.
  3. Pour orange juice and lime juice over the pork. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until easily shredded.
  4. Shred the pork using two forks and return it to the juices in the slow cooker.
  5. Assemble sliders by placing shredded pork on each bun half, topping with Swiss cheese and dill pickles before covering with the top bun.
