  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, melt the butter and mix in the milk until combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just mixed; lumps are good!
  5. Transfer the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving, ideally topped with vanilla ice cream.
