Description

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add softened butter and blend until crumbly.
  3. Stir in vanilla extract and heavy cream until just combined.
  4. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the baking dish to form the crust.
  5. Toss sliced strawberries with sugar and let sit for 10 minutes. Layer over the crust.
  6. Crumble remaining dough on top of strawberries.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Cool before slicing, then dust with powdered sugar.
