  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Place them in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove bacon and leave grease in the pan.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the same skillet until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  5. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, chicken broth, soy sauce, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the baking dish. Top with cooked bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
