Description

Vegan Chai Latte Cinnamon Rolls are a delightful twist on traditional cinnamon rolls, infused with aromatic chai spices. The warm, sweet scent of cinnamon and the creamy essence of chai tea create an irresistible treat that’s perfect for brunch or a cozy afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup non-dairy milk (such as almond or oat)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. 1. Activate yeast by mixing warm non-dairy milk and yeast in a bowl. Let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. 2. Combine flour and coconut sugar in a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and stir to form a soft dough.
  3. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. 4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled.
  5. 5. Mix cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and additional coconut sugar for filling.
  6. 6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted coconut oil over it, and sprinkle the filling on top. Roll tightly into a log and slice into rolls.
  7. 7. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and allow to rise again for 30 minutes.
  8. 8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. 9. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar mixed with non-dairy milk before serving.
