Description

Smash Burger Tacos are a delightful twist on traditional tacos, featuring juicy beef patties in soft tortillas, topped with fresh ingredients for a fun and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb 80/20 ground beef
  • 8 soft flour tortillas or 8 crunchy corn taco shells
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup diced ripe tomatoes
  • ½ cup salsa (homemade or store-bought)
  • ¼ cup sliced pickles (optional)
  • 1 avocado (sliced) (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into small patties (about 3 inches wide).
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Let rest.
  3. Warm taco shells in another pan or microwave until pliable.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with shredded cheese to melt.
  5. Assemble tacos by placing a cheesy patty in each shell and topping with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, avocado, and salsa.
