Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two 15×10 inch jelly roll pans with parchment paper.

  3. In another bowl, beat eggs until frothy and pale; mix in melted butter and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold the wet mixture into the dry ingredients gently to preserve airiness.

  6. Cool slightly; then turn cake layers onto powdered sugar-dusted towels and roll them up while warm.
  7. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form; unroll cakes, spread filling, roll back up, and chill before serving.
