- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 firm oranges (juiced and zested)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 sprigs rosemary (chopped)
- 2 sprigs thyme (chopped)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Pat turkey dry and season inside and out with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix cranberries, orange juice, zest, brown sugar, melted butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme until well combined.
- Stuff half of this mixture into the turkey cavity; tie legs with kitchen twine.
- Place turkey in a roasting pan breast side up. Pour chicken broth around the turkey.
- Roast for approximately 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
