Prepare the Base
- In a bowl, mix the crushed digestive biscuits with melted butter until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish to form an even base.
- Refrigerate the base for at least 15 minutes to set.
Make the Toffee Layer
- While the base is setting, cook the sweetened condensed milk in a pot of simmering water for 1-2 hours.
- Stir occasionally to prevent burning, until it turns a golden brown color and thickens.
- Once done, remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Assemble the Pie
- Spread the toffee layer evenly over the chilled biscuit base.
- Layer the sliced bananas on top of the toffee.
- Finally, spread the whipped cream over the bananas.
Garnish and Serve
- Dust the top with cocoa powder for garnish.
- Refrigerate for at least 10 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
