Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
