Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 pound ground lamb
  • 1 cup bread crumbs preferably whole wheat
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh oregano chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 small cucumber grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Meatballs
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, bread crumbs, egg, minced garlic, oregano, parsley, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
Cook the Meatballs
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and browned.
Make the Tzatziki Sauce
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt.
  2. Mix until smooth and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Serve
  1. Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  2. Serve the meatballs warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes
