Method
Prepare the Pasta
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Mix the Ingredients
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, spinach, and seasonings. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese into the mixture.
Assemble the Dish
- Transfer the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
Bake
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Serve
- Remove the baked ziti from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, and enjoy your meatless baked ziti!
