Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and baking soda to the mixture and stir until fully combined.
  4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes for easier handling.
Shape and Bake
  1. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  2. Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  3. Using a fork, gently press down on each cookie to create a crisscross pattern on top.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  5. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
