  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 2 large lemons)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear in the hot skillet for about 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Deglaze the pan by adding lemon juice and chicken broth, scraping up any bits from the bottom.
  4. Gradually stir in heavy cream and let simmer for about 4–5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted, then add chopped parsley and basil before serving.
